GUILD MEMBERS ACCEPT NEW AGENCY CONTRACT

Guild members voted overwhelmingly to approve proposed changes to the contract between the Denver Newspaper Guild and the Denver Newspaper Agency. Eighty-two percent of the votes cast were in favor of the contract. More than fifty-percent of Guild members at the Agency voted. The bargaining team recommended members approve the two-year deal.

Voting took place over a three-day period beginning Wednesday, October 3 and concluding Friday, October 5, 2007.

The two-year agreement goes into effect on October 7, 2007 and replaces the previous contract which would have expired on January 31, 2008.
